If I were a Leaf….
If I were a leaf…
~I’d whisper in the ears of caterpillars and say things like ” Ketchup chips are amazing when they are dipped in butterscotch!” & ” Kittens should do sit-ups everyday so that the stars stay in the sky!”…
~I’d paint myself with liquid paper and imagine that I’m a ghost and scare all the other leaves and make them pee…
~I’d eat raindrops and then spit them out and then catch my spit and make it rain again…
~I’d insist that the other leaves play footsie with me all the time until I was tired and fell asleep…
~I would eat lotion in the ocean…
~I would tease squirrels by throwing peanut butter flavored stink bombs at them…
~I’d lick a lot of stamps…
~I’d make a little shelter for myself made out of tea bags that smelled like bananas dipped in glue…
~I’d see how many pennies I could swallow…
~I’d try to kiss a Lion’s nose….
If I were a Leaf…
Tiger Princess
On an island in the middle of an ocean that floats in the sky lived a girl who was banished from the universe…
She was known to kidnap pineapples from trees and sing love ballads with monkeys about hearts breaking and snakes mating…
She also had the habit of luring tigers with her eyes and trapping them in her lair and coating them with berry juice and then kissing them until they fell into a deep sleep…
Many people thought she was a witch and felt her tiger and pineapple kidnapping monkey singing berry juice kissing ways were evil…
So they banished her and she lived by herself in a cave full of wombats and built fires and planted trees and herbs…
She drew on her fingers and toes, her eyelids and her nose….
She made lots of stew…
Loneliness set in and frankly she became sad…
The birds drank her tears while she began to go mad….
On one gloomy day she went for a walk, she sat on the moon very deep in thought and then she heard something stir and she turned towards the sound…
There sitting still was a tiger on a hill….
She looked at him sadly and tiptoed towards him…
She covered him with berry juice and kissed him all over and then she looked down and saw she was a tiger.
